Social Caste

Every civilization in history has had a social caste. In the Brave New World, there is five social classes--Alpha, Beta, Delta, Epsilon, and Gamma. Which of these classes would you be in?

I think that we would be considered Beta's. The majority of us are not the super-rich, but we are also not poor. The majority of us are being "bred" to succeed in the world due to the schools we have gone too. This is similar to how the Alpha's and Beta's were bred on the assembly line.

I feel that if i had to be put into a class i feel that we would be betas. i feel this way because most of us are not perfect and the smartest, but all of have that drive to do our best. as you can see this is the best class that i and most of us could fit in.

I would choose delta because they are right in the middle. I would be not have to work as hard as the alpha's and beta's but I would better off as the delta's and epsilon's.

I also agree that I would be put into the area of being a Beta because my family isnt that poor but isnt rich so we lie right in the middle. Also I agree with the fact that we are being bred because I have been in private school since 2nd grade so my parents could help me be successful in the future.

I agree with you Drew. I would put myself in the Beta class because my parents are financially stable and they have jobs that bring in a good amount of money into the household. Our family is able to own nice cars and my parents are able to afford to send me to private schools since first grade.

I would say that I would be a Delta. I say this because of my physical appearance. Deltas are shorter than the Alphas and Betas. Also I have a medical condition that is rarely found in the higher classes. Lastly, I am the middle child and I enjoy being the middle child so I wouldn’t mind being in the middle class.

I would say I was a Delta, since my family has never been known for having the most money but they have had enough to raise me and my brother and put us through school and teach us what we need to know to teach our own families one day.

I think I also would be a Beta. My family is well off, we have money, and I consider myself upper middle class. I have the ability to be great but may not be the best. The classes are an interesting aspect of the book and make it interesting to think about.

If I were to be in a social class in this society I believe that I would be a Delta. I am not someone who is extremely intelligent, but at the same time I would not be a person that is satisfied with just cleaning and being of remedial intelligence. At the same time I would not want to deal with the pressures that the highest classes have to deal with.

If I had to put myself in a class then I would be a Beta. My parents make good money and a good standing job. We arent perfect or the smartest but we strive for it.

Not trying to sound superior, but I think that I would be an Alpha. My parents are well off and even though my grades don't often show it, I am very intelligent. I know I sound somewhat degrading to other people's opinion but a lot of the people who I see putting themselves as Beta's could put themselves into the Alpha class.

I would put myself in the Beta class. I would because like Drew said my family is not incredibly rich, but we also are not poor. We also are not rediculously smart, but we are pretty smart. I also think this because I would hope to stay in the Beta class as I get older by doing well and school and always making a decent amount of money so I can stay comfortable.

If I had to put myself into a category I think I would put myself in Beta. I’m not the most perfect person to exist but I do not see myself as a lower class person. I am smart but I wouldn’t go so far as to label me as brilliant.
