I think the play is a pretty good piece of literature, it is mildly comedic, and has a happy ending. the play really started shaping up with the introduction of the notably evil, Don John the bastard, with his nefarious schemes upon his brother Don Pedro, and his brother in arms Claudio. as the play went on I waited with bated breath to see what new terror would unfold from his dark shadow, what new terror would stalk the night, wreaking havoc in the hearts of men. I could not bring myself back from the edge of my seat as I awaited the heroes to thwart this villain and marry their true loves, to live forever in peace and matrimony until the end of time.

The play was good I usually don’t like Shakespeare but this was a good play. The play got interesting when I read about Don John’s plan to get Claudio and Hero separated now that man is a sneaky because his first plan didn’t work but his second one did. Don John is quick to think on his feet. But my favorite seen in the play was when Beatrice and Benedick had their first quarrel.

I usually dread and struggle with Shakespeare, but I did enjoy this play even though I still found it hard to understand. But i did however enjoy it with its humor and thick plot. We have the evil and sneaky Don John trying to make everyone's life miserable and unpleasant. It was kind of like a classic fairytale plot almost. The villain plots and schemes to take down or ruin the hero but in the end good triumphs over evil and ends with the heroes falling in love with the woman of his dreams. But Joe what exactly did you mean by Don Pedro succeeding? Don Pedro did not really do much in the play. Perhaps you mean Don John the bastard?

I did enjoy the play and thought it was a good comedy by Shakespeare. Don John is a huge factor in this play. Don john tryes to break up the marige 2 times, the first time failing and the second time he was almost succsessfull. They brake off the marrige for a time but then later get married.

I'm hoping you mean will Don John be successful. Yes, he will be successful in ruining Claudio and Hero's wedding. However, he will pay for it in the end. When all is said and done everyone will pretty much be happy instead of Don John and his posse.

Although we read many different types of literature this year I think that i most enjoed the Comedy's we read. they seem to attract me in a way that none of the other books have.

I liked the play, it is kind of difficult to understand at times, but I enjoy reading it. I do not believe that Don John will be successful because there are not many plays, movies and books where the bad guy wins.

The play wasn't all that bad, it just didn't make much sense to me. Other than the faking of Hero's death though, it was all pretty understandable and comedic. It's interesting Shakespeare stuff without some kind of death at the end.

Don John wasn't successful at all because he got caught up in something dumb. He shouldn't have tryed to ruin everybody's plans

I think that this play was a great way to start closing out the end of the year. Its lightheartedness and comedy made it a great piece to read and the movie that we watched made it easier to understand what was going on in the play.

I thought the play was really confusing and thick, but overall I liked it as far as Shakespeare goes. It was funny which was good because that kept my interest. I liked how so much happened and it didn't just follow like one character throughout because that would have gotten boring. I liked hearing about everyone. And I didn't think that Don Pedro or Don John or any of the bad guys would be successful because even though there's usually really tragic stuff in Shakespeare, I had a good feeling about the ending of this play.

I don't like the play at all, specifically because it's hard to understand exactly what they are saying. Don Pedro probably won't be succesful

I like this play a lot. Having only read one other play by Shakespeare (Othello), I like this one because I also enjoy the comedic aspect of the play. Othello had few if any comedic parts which I noticed when I was reading it, but this play seems much more enjoyable and readable and not as boring. Another thing I like about this play is how they trick Benedick and Beatrice into falling in love, which I thought was very clever and was a little side-story in the play that made it much better.
