Wall Street

Do you Agree that the US Government should have bailed out those banks. When other companies could just buy up their Stocks? Obama and McCain blame each other for the cause but that doesn't help now does it so its just a waste of breath. But, these banks did collapse under Democratic Control HMMM interesting. Post what you think the Government should have done and why also tell me whoose fault is it? I blame both sides just to let you know.

The story of Antigone and her relatives is a pretty wild one. Their antics, however, are not too far removed from what we watch every day on television and in film. Can you think of some modern equivalents of the play Antigone, updated versions though they may be? I know, to me, it seems an awful lot like an episode of "The Jerry Springer Show," but what other shows and films are similar?

World Lit.

In my opinion studying World Literature is to understand the different cultures and how they see, view, and interpret literature. Studying World Literature helps us understand where other countries are coming from on a certain topic. In other countries literature is how their civilization came to be. It might have been oral literature to some countries a long time ago but now most literature is written literature.
I hope to gain information about other cultures and to understand their views of certain aspects that we think are either good or bad. I think that understanding the writing will be one of the hardest things we will come across in World Literature.

The reason we study world literature is to find out about the world. Most of us know about all the habits of an American but not so much anything outside of our country. When studying world literature you are able to find out what the lifestyle of people is all around the world.
