In my opinion studying World Literature is to understand the different cultures and how they see, view, and interpret literature. Studying World Literature helps us understand where other countries are coming from on a certain topic. In other countries literature is how their civilization came to be. It might have been oral literature to some countries a long time ago but now most literature is written literature.
I hope to gain information about other cultures and to understand their views of certain aspects that we think are either good or bad. I think that understanding the writing will be one of the hardest things we will come across in World Literature.

In my opinion, studying World Literature is just as important as our literature. This is because you get a better view on things, and how other cultures express themselves.
