Amir reminds me of that kid longing for attention. No one that i know personally but just that random kid that you see roaming around the halls always in Murphy's office but is always on the honor roll.

In this novle amir is someone who is conffused about alot of things in his life. Amir is a person who wants to fit in and feel comfortable in his body. Only wanting to impress his father he seems that he can never do that. Amir has a complicated a confused life that only seems to get more and more thrown into it.

Amir reminds me of someone who needs all eyes on him and won't stop until everyone is looking at him.

Amir reminds me some friends and family i know. I say this because they'll do something to hurt you and after a while they will try to do what ever it takes to make it up to me, or anybody else they hurt.

Amir reminds me of a kid who just wants to be loved, and have equal the attention everyone around him has, he is a boy who sees himself as if no one wants to comfort him, or pay attention to him. But the truth is many people around him love him and would do anything for him, and he has to realize this on his own.

Amir reminds me of the stereotypical "Middle" child. His other siblings get more attention than him, so he strives for attention by any means he can. In the novel Baba favors Hassan which makes Amir very unhappy, causing him to try to get Hassan in trouble for things Hassan never did; in hopes that Baba will then love him more.

I think that Amir reminds of someone who doesn’t know what they want in life. He does what ever his father tells him, whether it is right or wrong, and doesn’t ask any questions about it. He also, did what ever he could to get everyone’s attention.

Amir reminds me of a soldier. He may not always be perfect, but at the same time his general respect for those that surrounded him whether it was in his childhood or as a a man in America. Amir shows that he is not affair to put his life on the line for something that he believes is worth fighting for. in this case his nephew Sohrab. At the same time Amir sees the harm in the destructive rule of the Taliban just as soldier in the Middle East saw as they fought for their freedom from the brutal attacks of the Soviets that occurred in Amir's childhood.

I believe that Amir is like my grandfather. He would go to the end of the world to redeem himself or to make his name better. He would do whatever it takes to make sure that his friends are happy with him and not mad even of they were dead.

Amir reminds me of a boy who needs some kind of attention. He's a kid that you can easily become friends with but not really can trust him because he can not really defend himself, so how is he going to defend you and can't defend himself?

Amir reminds me a bit of my uncle. He was always a troubled young man who always did some sneaky stuff and always got away with it. It went this way for the longest time until it finally caught up with him when his son did the same things and got caught. He served two years in jail for drugs and it killed my uncle. His grief and regret for not setting my cousin down the right path. So like Amir my uncle had to do so many things to make his life right.

Amir reminds me of one of my friends. Even though he can be cowardous at times he really is a good guy and he feels really regretful about the mistake or mistakes that he has made. Also he realizes when it is time to step up and when he has to do the right thing to make himself a better person.

Amir reminds me of someone who will do anything to save his own skin, even if that does mean throwing his best friend under the bus. Someone who is self-centered and only cares about what can benefit his life.

When I think of Amir, he seems to me like a kid that has made mistakes in his life, and knows he has made mistakes but he is just a normal person, and especially when he was younger, did not want to take responsibility for those mistakes. But when he got older, these mistakes came back to haunt him which finally push him to, like the movie says, be good again.

Amir reminds me of a childhood friend, who feels they deserve to have everyone’s attention. They want everyone to notice them and if he / she got hurt, someone would come up and ask if they were all right and if they need help. Amir is someone who strives for attention but only in the sense to grieve and listen to his feelings.

Amir reminds of my little cousin. My little cousin would do something so horrible and get in trouble for it. He would take a while for him to accept that he is responsible for actions. He then would try to go overboard and try to make up for it. So in a way, he shares qualities of Amir of how he would try to make up for what he had done in the past.

Amir reminds me of a character with tremendous guilt and will never forgive himself until his is forgiven. I think that Amir is jealous of everyone around him except Assef and wants what everyone else has. I think that he is like Kevin Gorman said the "middle child", because I am the middle child and I can relate to what Amir is feeling and how he reacts to certain attention to himself or others.

Amir reminds me of my friend and neighbor Mikey. Mikey will always ask you for a dollar or to defend him in a battle, but if you were ever in danger and Mikey was there he would not help you. now that i think about it he would probably be the first to run and hide. I forgive Mikey for he is one of my oldest friends.

Amir reminds of a person who has "everything" but he wants to be accepted for himself. Although he doesnt act like himself,so no one respects him that much.

Amir as a child reminds me of Kumar from 'Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle.'
Amir, like Kumar, is the dominant one in the relationship. Whereas Hassan, like Harold, is the more obedient one who choses to follow Amir.

I have met many people like Amir. This is probably easy for most of us to say. The reason we know so many people like him, but can't lay our finger on who is because the author did a terrific job on making his characters easily related to. I don't think any of us could say we met no one like Amir or Hassan due to the author's ability to make believable characters. On an unrelated note, Joe, please type better. You posted questions all of us will see. The least you could have done is looked back on them. It's late and it makes me angry to see something this poorly done as a question to respond to.

Amir reminds me of a little kid who always wants to have fun but once he's about to get in trouble he tries to shift the blame somewhere else or pretend it never happened. Amir seems like he wants to be accepted by everyone and feels like he wants to be the center of atention. I think this because he just sat there and watched while Hassan was getting raped and when he gets jealous when Baba favors Hassan in some parts of the book.

Amir seems like he is having a very hard time trying to find who he is. Why is he on this earth? He doesn’t know why so he has to do whatever he can in order to fit in with everyone else, Even if that means letting your friend get raped in order to protect yourself or lie to your father in order to make you look like a better person. Amir is that type of person that needs attention 24/7 all the time. But at the end he tries to make up for all times and that’s what counts.

Amir doesn’t personally remind me of anyone but he does come off as a kid whose parents didn’t love him and his parents thought that they were loving him by buying him items but Amir didn’t see it that way.

Amir reminds me of a couple of my cousin because they are all cowards.
The are liars and they are always out to get you in trouble. they always seen like the want to be in my spot like and if they cant steal it they will try to take it by saying something negative.

Amir reminds me of a girl i used to go to grade school and middle school with. As a child he thought he was above everyone else, and he was used to being spoiled. He always was trying to impress his father as the girl used to try to do to our class.
