The book to me was good at the beginning but now seems to be getting old on me. I feel like it has become repetitive and the father and the boy struggle with the same things day in and day out. I think the author needs to change it up and add more action to the story.

this book is crazy. The style is totaly different than anything else i've read and the arthur manages to put an intersting twist on the age old tale of a(n) apocolyspe. reading this has really excited me for the movie. i can't wait to see it

I like this book a lot. It opens up your mind to think what you would do if you were in this situation. Although we can't really say what we'd do, but we could think just how bad it would be. I personally would try to live on because I would always think the grass is greener on the other side.

At first, this book was very intriguing. I wanted know what the feeling would be like after a nuclear war had plagued a civilization. I learned what things that the people would have to go through to survive. But like Zack said, things have become too repetitive.

I think that this book is very interesting. I like to see the ways that the man comes up with to overcome each struggle. I think that this book is so interesting because it always leaves you hanging and you want to see what happens next. I also thought this book had a lot of suspense and adventure. I wish the author would of put something in the end saying that the boy went to the coast for his Dad.

I really enjoyed the book at the beginning. Now the book seems a little dragged out. It seems like every other page their starving and looking for food. This continuous theme is starting to get pretty old and I’m tired of reading the same thing written in a different way.

I really didnt read the beginning of the book but when i started reading the book i can say it was enjoyable. I agree with zach there needs to be more action though

I agree with Zack's opinion because at firs the book really got me interested and gave me all these questions about what happened and what is there to come. But now it's starting to become like the TV show Lost because its being dragged out and doesn't give you any definitive answers.

The book has its up and downs but overall its not that bad but for some reason people dont understand that this book is supposed to be dark and gray beacuse it suppose to represent the end of the world basically after just about everyone has almost died off. its a sad book but it makes you a little happy knowing that the boy is still alive and kicking doing everything in his power and dads power to saty alive, its kind of inspirartion to never give up even when you think you can do anything else more.

I truly do enjoy the style of this book, short bursts of story, with wild dreams and a different style of speech. I do however agree with Zach, while I have stayed interested the whole time, the story itself is monotonous, I understand the meaning for it, I know the author wants us to be driven into a head bobbing gray world where they trudge on day after day just because, but that doesn't mean I have to like it. I did enjoy the amount of truth and grittiness to the story, it lent itself a whole new power just by going so in depth.

This book is a pretty good book. It has alot of twists and turns throught the plot that make you question the fathers motives but it is definently a good book.

I think this book has been the best book that we have read this year. It's easy to follow and is very suspenseful, so it makes you want to read it.

I think that this is a good book it teaches some life lessons about survival and it has comparison to a lot of mivies. I enjoy reading it.

This was a great story, a very detailed account of what happened to the father and son. At times it did seem a little dry, and as if the story could go on forever. But the story was very honest about the possibilities of survival if this would actually occur. It was very believable and emotional for the reader which always made me continue to read.

This book is basically the survival of the fittest. This book represents everything unity is not. The world is suppose to come togeher. Not fight and kill and destroy. It is going to be interesting to see where the Man and the boy end up.

The novel the Road was a good book. it was easy to read and the pages didnt seem long. The story line was creative. Most people probable never read a book like this dealing with a world thats coming to the end and people are fighting to survive. The actions scenes where limited but the ones they did have was ok not anything to crazy but interesting. They should have talked about his mother more in the book and it would have been better.

It's an all right book, but I didn't like the writing style too much. I also wish we got a fuller explaination of what exactly happened to cause this.

I liked the book at the beginning because it was interesting and got to the point. But as i read on it became slower and slower with action scenes that didn't really have much to them. They would be one or two pages long and would not get much into detail. Although it was getting a little more boring the thing that kept pulling me in was if they were going to make it to the beach or not. And when thet did it made the book all the more better.

I really love this book! I think that this book is so powerful and it has so many important messages in it that will be very helpful to live a happy life. I think that the most important message in this story is how fragile life is and you never know when your life is going to end so you have to really cherish your life. Another really important message in this story is that no matter what scenario or tragedy you are in, you must always keep fighting on!

The Road has been very interesting and it always has some type of surprising event that happens. That makes the book even more fun to read.

The book is very well written. I don’t want to put the book down because I am so eager to find out what will happen next. The boy and the man are struggling all the time and I continue to hope that they will be able to get out of that obstacle. Hopefully the man and the boy will make it to their destination and live a prosper life.

As I have been reading this book, I feel that a movie would portray the novel better then reading the novel it self. I can capture the scenes in my head and invent them as scenes and I can see them better and get more characterization from the man and his son if they were developed and depicted in the movie. The story line was strong and makes me want to keep reading but I rather see it on the screen instead.

I think the book is ok. There are some low points and their are some high points. Sometimes I can not put the book down and other times I cant wait to stop reading it. But overall it is a pretty good book and I cant wait to see what happens to the Man and the Boy.

This book was really good in the beginning. But like Zach Ackerman said, it got really old. The only big plot change was when the father died in the end, but we could guess that it was going to happen sooner or later. The struggles the boy and man face are pretty much always the same. So it got really boring as the book went on.

This has been the most intriguing book that we have read all year. Having only two main characters allows you to study the characters a bit more immensely. At times the book can become repetitive, but all the detail that the author gives to you is an attempt to help you understand the characters and their intentions fully.

I have liked the book and have enjoyed reading it. i hope the ending of this book is a good ending and not leaving us with nothing.

I liked the book at the beginning because it was interesting and got to the point. Also the page breaks was a new thing for me and hadn't seen it like that so many times. As I read on it became slower and slower with the action scenes slowing drying only to come back again at the end when the Man is on the boat and and he dies. They would be one or two pages long and would not get much into detail. Although it was slowly but surely getting boring as I read on the one thing I didn't expect that it pulled you in to read the whole book and it was like when you were finish with the reading for that night that you had to pry your nose out of the book. I was always wondering would they make it to the beach or not. And when they did it made the book all the more better.

My views on the book at this point is that it has been very good. I thought that in the begining that I would truly no enjoy it because of the whole new style of writing. But I knew that I would come to enjoy it because I liked th other novel "No Country for Old Men." The relationship between the father and his son was very intoresting. It kept me reading and kept me intorested in what else might come. Also, i wanted to see if the boy turns out to be more than what he seems.

I did not enjoy the first 40 or so pages of the book. But as the book as progressed I have enjoyed it more and more. For some reason I am interested in them finding food, which in any other book would seem to be very boring. There is not much that goes on in this book, yet it holds my attention very well.

The book was really interesting in the beginning because it was fun to think about what possibly could have happened to the world before the novel started. I'm getting a little bored with it though because it seems like all they do is walk and walk and sometimes see other people and then occasionally find some food. I think it needs a few more twists so its not as predictable.

I think this was actually a very good book. I do not read that much but this one was a fun one to read. It had good action and a good story line to it. I think this and The Kite Runner were the best book i have ever read.

The book is interesting. Not in that new exciting twists and action come up, but in that it gives a realistic depiction of a world that tore itself apart.

The book was good to me in the begining from the excitment of the fsther and son.

My opinion of The Road is that i think that the ending is obvious. I thought that the man would die just because he was really ill.

My opinion of the book is that its interesting because it's very different from other novels I've read. One thing that keeps the book entertaining is how the author changes from the boring daily struggle the boy and the man go through to very explicit and gorey details involving the cannibalism and means of surviving that are found throughout the book. It seemed unpredictable sometimes, except for the ending, which I thought was very unsuprising.

I think that The Road is a very good story about survival when there is no society. I think the story is very realistic and is very possible of happening in the future. If I were in the position of the Man and Boy I think I would have made the same decisions the man did in order to survive in a lawless world.
